Louis takes his senior position very seriously and he does a great job at it. He is a CKC-registered American Corgi, which means one of his parents was a Cardigan and the other a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He weighs 30 lbs. He has ice blue eyes, a gorgeous merle coat pattern, and best of all, the sweetest temperament ever. We call him our "gentleman" because he is so polite; he doesn't fight over food, he goes out when asked, and he doesn’t even chase cats. He’s calm, affectionate, and does whatever his ladies tell him to. He can also do some impressive circus tricks as you can see in this picture: eyes on the chicken leg!

Pippa is a lovely sable full fluff, CKC-registered. She is playful and adorable and very sweet. She loves attention and is a devoted mama when she has puppies. Pippa is petite, weighs about 24 lbs., and is seriously FLUFFY!

Chloe rules the roost around here. She is a bluie tri-color AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Bluies have a faded black coat that gives them a unique bluish tint. Chloe’s bluie puppies look gray until they start to darken at a couple months old. Chloe has lovely caramel-colored markings and those enormous Corgi ears we love. She is super smart, loyal, and very friendly. Chloe also has quite the bossy side and her barks have us all jumping at her command (“let me in! now let me back out!”). She puts even our big huskies in their place despite being much smaller than them. She weighs 26 lbs. Her favorite breakfast is beef broth, raw hamburger, and sweet potatoes and her favorite treat is a dollop of butter . . . yum!

Poppy loves her babies; she is the most devoted mother we’ve seen. Once puppies get teeth, most dams are eager to wean them, but Poppy would never stop them nursing if we let her. She likes to sleep with and cuddle her puppies up to the day they leave her. Poppy is a tri-color AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi with lots of snowy white in her coat that somehow never seems to get dirty. When we first got her, she was very wary and frightened. We’re guessing she had “littermate syndrome” since she was raised with her sister. This means puppies only feel safe when they’re with their littermate and have trouble bonding with their humans. Putting in the work and seeing a dog relax and bond with us is one of the most rewarding parts of raising dogs. Poppy, who once wouldn't even let us pet her, now follows us everywhere. She loves doing chores and feeding the horses. She is on the small side at 22 lbs.

Slater loved to play. HIs favorite sport was chasing calico cats—irresistible! ​He enjoyed exploring the woods, rooting out moles, and peeing in the creek. Thanks for all the pups, sweet buddy. We’ll never forget you.
