Meet Our Dogs
-
Louis (Sire)
Louis is a CKC-registered American Corgi, which means one of his parents was a Cardigan and the other a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He has ice blue eyes and a gorgeous merle coat pattern. Best of all, he has the sweetest temperament ever. We call him our "gentleman" because he is so polite; he doesn't even chase cats! He came to us from a larger breeding farm and was very shy at first. It's so rewarding to see how Louis has relaxed into his new free-range life and how affectionate he's become. He can do some impressive circus tricks as you can see in this picture: eyes on the chicken leg!

-
Chloe (Dam)
Chloe is a tri-color AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is intelligent, loyal, and very friendly and sweet . . . until you mess with her puppies. She is a fiercely protective mama, a great quality in a dam. Chloe does have a bossy side and puts even our big huskies in their place despite her small stature. Her favorite breakfast is beef broth, raw hamburger, and sweet potatoes and her favorite treat is a dollop of butter . . . yum!

-
Poppy (Dam)
Poppy is our youngest dog. She is a tri-color AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi with lots of snowy white in her coat that somehow never seems to get dirty. Like Louis, she came to us from a larger breeding farm where she was one among many dogs and she was very wary and frightened. Part of what we love about raising dogs is rehabilitating them to a natural life and teaching them that they can trust us. Poppy, who once wouldn't even let us pet her, now follows us everywhere. She loves doing chores and feeding the horses. We're excited to see how having her first litter matures her.

Candi (Dam - RETIRED)
Ranger's Candi is all love and affection and has given us piles of beautiful puppies. Thanks, Mama.

Slater (Sire - RIP)
Slater loved to play. HIs favorite sport was chasing calico cats—irresistible! He enjoyed exploring the woods, rooting out moles, and peeing in the creek. Thanks for all the pups, sweet buddy. We’ll never forget you.
